Mulled Wine

A tasty warming tipple for the winter months!




Simple, easy and so tasty!

 

This recipe overall took around 20.


Equipment;

Chopping Board

Knife

Pan

Slotted Spoon





Ingredients;

This creates 2/3 servings

1 Bottle of Red Wine

1 Orange

8 Cloves

2 Star Anise

2 Cinnamon Sticks

1 Small Slice of Ginger


 

To begin simply slice the oranges and place the cloves within them. Pour the red wine into the pot and place on a low to medium heat.


Then add the cinnamon sticks, star anise and ginger. Bring this to a gentle boil, then lower the heat so it just simmers.


After 15 minutes turn the heat off and with a slotted spoon remove the star anise, cinnamon sticks and ginger (these can be discarded).


Remove the orange slices, you can use these for decoration, pick your favourite glass and enjoy.


Be careful with glasses and hot liquid, if in doubt use a mug.
