These little fellas get such a bad wrap. I'll change your mind!
Vegan or Veggie, swap for quorn bacon or skip it altogether!
This recipe overall took around 30 to 40 minutes.
Equipment;
Chopping Board
Knife
Baking tray
Parchment Paper
Kettle
Large Pan
Bowl
Oven at 180C
Ingredients;
This creates 2 servings
400g Brussels Sprouts
3 Slices bacon
3 tbsp Balsamic
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp Oregano
1 tsp Soy sauce
1 tsp Nutmeg
Firstly, turn the oven onto 180C, switch the kettle on and start by prepping your brussels. DO NOT CROSS THE BOTTOM OF THEM!
Once ready add the sprouts to the bowl and pour over the boiling water, place onto a medium to high heat.
Whilst the sprouts and bubbling away, in a bowl add the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper, nutmeg and oregano. Set this aside.
Grab your chopping board and knife, and slice up the bacon into fairly small chunks.
Check the brussels after 10 minutes, drain them, let them sit in the colander whilst you cook the bacon in the now empty pan. Either on a clean board or just wash over the one you have and cut the bussels in half.
Once the bacon is to your liking turn the heat off. Now get the baking tray and parchment paper ready. Place the brussels into the bowl of the balsamic mixture and mix well. Pour onto the baking tray and then sprinkle the bacon over the top.
Place into oven for 10 - 15 minutes, mixing them up half way.
After this time turn the oven off and place into a serving dish.
Tuck in!
