Pizza, beers and my dog!
I have always had a love for Brewdog, so much so my dog has their collar. We fancied a day out and though we had been here before we had never eaten. We had been missing out so much!
First things first, this is only about Brewdog Nottingham. Each establishment has different menus and guest beers on etc. However they are all dog friendly! BONUS!
They have dog friendly beer! It is made with meat juices (which believe me you can smell it) and he leftover bits from the beer that isn't alcoholic. Riko could not get enough! The staff were super friendly towards Riko, they gave over to give him a fuss and some treats. The bar had a dog water station already set up too.
Okay so moving onto the actual human side, the beers as always are fantastic, though I some cases pricey! I had a Porter called Zombie cake 5% for £5.20 a pint, Jack enjoyed a Pilsner called Lost Larger 4.7% £4.90. Zombie Cake was not as heavy as a stout but still had a deep flavour of toffee and chocolate with a subtle hint of coffee. Lost larger was at the other end of the spectrum being light with a zesty finish.
For food this Brewdog serves Sourdough based Pizza, and my gosh they are delicious! We settled on having a Spicy Meaty and a Hawaii -Five O, both £9.95. The Meaty Mighty was on the spicy side with having Nduja sausage, spicy pepperoni, chilli flakes, smashed Napoli tomatoes and Scottish mozzarella. The Hawaii five O was on the sweeter side with Pineapple, Kassler pork, parsley, smashed Napoli tomatoes and Scottish mozzarella. They were both beautifully cooked to the perfect crispiness. The ingredients on both complemented each other very well! Just a heads up the Spicy Meaty did had a lot of oil on it due to the nature of the pepperoni and Nduja.
As a nice addition on the menu of the pizza they say what beer would go well with the pizza, such as the Hawaii Five-O went well with Lost Larger.
After the pizzas we both enjoyed a glass of Elvis Juice 6.5% at £5.75, This drink had heavy grapefruit citrus flavours with a slight caramel flavour due to the malts used.
So in conclusion if you have not have guessed, I recommend going to Brewdog Nottingham whether you want a drink with friends, a bite to eat and chat or a chill moment with your dog, go. The staff are super friendly too!
